Prime Video’s upcoming web series Big Girls Don’t Cry is getting a lot of love and appreciation from the industry with celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap and many more discussing the show. The show focuses on the journey of teenage girls as it explores sisterhood, friendship, independence, rebellion, love, heartbreak and dreams through the eyes of young people.

These popular actors wished the team good luck and appreciated the actors. Deepika Padukone shared the promo of the series and said, “All the best my lovelies” on her Instagram. Her husband Ranveer Singh followed suit, adding, “Brotherhood, spirit and so many surprises – school is in session,” ending the statement with a butterfly emoji. Katrina Kaif also tweeted Singh’s statement about the sibling, adding, “Can’t wait for it…”


Anurag Kashyap tweeted the story and added, “It looks cool,” while Karan Johar said, “Congratulations Nithya Mehra! This is great YA content! Enjoying watching it <3<3<3."

Made In Heaven star Arjun Mathur also posted a message about the web series, saying, “Some of my favorite people have created something beautiful…” Four more frames of fame Sayani Gupta went on to comment, “Looks so intriguing! Some lovely friends did! And Pooja Bhatt is so good at everything! Big hugs and hugs to the babies!” The stars also tagged the show’s team to send their best wishes.

Big Girls Don’t Cry takes the audience into the fascinating world of the prestigious Vandana Valley, where a group of young girls go on many exciting adventures of a lifetime as they challenge not only school norms, but society at large. And along the way, each of them fights an internal battle to stay true to their own unique identity.

Premiering on March 14 on Prime Video, the series is created by Nitya Mehra and boasts a predominantly female lead including Avantika Vandanapu (Ludo), Aneet Padda (Roohi), Dalai (Pluggy), Vidushi (Kavya), Lhakyila (JC) Aprah Starring Syed (Nori) and Akshita Sood (Diya) along with Pooja Bhatt, Raima Sen, Zoya Hussain and Mukul Chadha.
