Disney Announces $1.5 Million in Grants to Central Florida Nonprofits – WFTV

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. — Several Central Florida nonprofits received a little magic this week.

Walt Disney World Resort announced Monday that it will donate $1.5 million to 19 local organizations across the state.

Disney said these organizations have brought about positive change in their communities and states through support for the arts, education, environmental activism, workforce development, social issues and other causes.

The Disney Grant recipients are:

  • Florida Children and Families Association
  • Christian Service Center
  • Orlando Conductive Education Center

Disney said its VoluntEARS program of cast members has worked with the organization in the past and this investment will help make a difference for Florida families.
