Actress Rita reunites with former co-star in ITV special, leaving Corrie fans in tears

Coronation Street fans were left in “tears” as Rita Sullivan actress Barbara Knox reunited with the iconic former show star in a documentary special to mark her 90th birthday.
The Corrie legend, who first appeared in a single episode as Rita Littlewood in December 1964, has reached the milestone age of 90 and TV star Bradley Walsh takes a trip down memory lane in an ITV special to celebrate. This surprised Star.
As the duo discussed the life of the star, of whom she became an official cast member in January 1972, she mentioned that she was an old TV sidekick who played her best friend Thelma Barlow from 1971 to 1997. I was surprised by a visit from actress Mavis Wilton.

Fans were shocked to see the dynamic duo reunite, with many admitting they were moved to tears.
One fan said, “I’m really happy to see this, and I have so many memories of watching #corrie with Nan in the 80s and 90s, so it’s very emotional.”
“Absolutely love #barbara90 – #corrie tribute to Barbara Knox – what a lovely, warm, touching, wonderful watch. It brought me to tears,” wrote Second.
The two were seen hugging each other and encouraging each other to be strong and not to cry. “Barbara may not be crying, but we are!” someone admitted, followed by a second echo, “You both said you weren’t crying, and I wasn’t.” was there.
Barbara herself eventually became involved when Bradley took her to his favorite holiday spot in Blackpool Tower’s famous ballroom, where they enjoyed afternoon tea and dancing just like his own family. I could see her crying.
One fan said: “Barbara and Bradley dancing together in the Blackpool Tower ballroom. Now gone. This is such a beautiful documentary about Corrie legend Barbara Knox.” Ta.
