Netflix’s My Name is Loh Kiwan starring Song Joong Ki tops the global non-English film rankings

In the second week of its release Netflix film “My name is Luo Qianfeaturing Song Joong Ki, took first place in the World’s Top 10 Films (Non-English) category.

According to Netflix’s latest data on March 13 KST, My Name is Loh Kiwan had 5.1 million viewing hours worldwide from March 4 to 10, marking a significant rise from its debut at No. 3 in the first week.

The film has left its mark in 31 countries, including Korea, Portugal, Peru, Venezuela, Malaysia and Turkey, where it captivated audiences with its compelling narrative.

Directed by Kim Hye Jin“My Name is Loh Kiwan” delves into the story of a North Korean defector who finds himself in Belgium, seeking refuge, and a woman who finds renewed purpose through their unexpected encounter. Based on Joo Hae-jin’s novel “I Met Luo Kyuan”, the film stars Song Joong Ki as the titular character, depicting his journey to secure refugee status.
