‘Kalki 2898 AD’ is an upcoming epic sci-fi film directed by Nag Ashwin of Mahanati fame. The film premiered in a teaser trailer at San Diego Comic-Con and received a positive response from audiences. The film is produced by C. Aswani Dutt under the banner of Vyjayanthi Films. The film is scheduled to be released early next year.

2. Indian 2

Indian 2 is the much-awaited sequel to the 1996 film of the same name. The film stars Kamal Haasan reprising his role as Senapathy, a freedom fighter turned vigilante. Featuring an amazing cast, this movie is one of the most anticipated movies. The film is financed by his Lyca Productions. It is also reported that due to the long running time of the movie, it will be released in two parts, with the first part to be released on April 12th next year. However, official confirmation from the manufacturer is awaited.

3. Thug Life

‘Thug Life’ marks the reunion of Kamal Haasan and Mani Ratnam for the first time since the 1987 gangster film ‘Nayakan’. This movie is definitely one of the most anticipated movies. The movie’s title reveal video was released on social media on November 6th. The Vikram actor is playing the role of Rangaraya Sakthivel Naiker. The film is touted to be an action thriller film. The film was produced by Kamal Haasan’s own production company Raj Kamal Films International in association with Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Red Giant Movies. The cinematography was done by Ravi K. Chandran and the editing was done by veteran Sreekar Prasad.

Although there aren’t many updates regarding the movie, KH233 is touted to be a military action movie. In fact, Kamal Haasan had shared a video from the shooting range through social media and said that he was training for his next film. The makers released an announcement video on July 4th this year and are currently in the pre-production stage. The film is also reported to feature Shiva Rajkumar in an important role. However, the official cast and crew of the movie have not been revealed by the filmmakers yet.

The actor will also be seen in Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film Vikram 2, which is a sequel to the 2022 film of the same name. However, this film is supposed to be the last LCU film and will not be produced anytime soon. Kamal Haasan is definitely going to continue setting new standards in world cinema.
