Who is Alauddin Khalji?

Set in 13th century Afghanistan and India, the story begins with the Khalji ruler Jalal-ud-din Khalji. He is going to take the throne of Delhi. His nephew Alauddin Khalji marries Jalaluddin’s daughter Mehrunisa, but their marriage is overshadowed by Alauddin’s ambition and misdeeds. Returning to Delhi, Alauddin assassinated Jalaluddin and usurped the throne of Delhi after a successful military campaign against the Mongols. He hears about Padmavati’s beauty from the exiled priest Raghav Chetan and becomes obsessed with her beauty. Driven by obsession, Ala-ud-din invites the Rajputs to Delhi, but they refuse, and Ala-ud-din ends up besieging Ratan Singh’s capital Chitoor.

Ala-ud-din’s persistent pursuit results in a fraudulent peace offering during the festival of Holi, where he is granted entry to Chittoor. He requests to see Padmavati, but Ratan Singh cleverly gives Alauddin a glimpse of her. However, the meeting falls into a trap and Ratan Singh is captured and taken to Delhi.

In a daring plan to rescue Ratan Singh, Padmavati agrees to meet Alauddin in Delhi on one condition. During this time, Alauddin survives an assassination attempt by his own nephew. Padmavati, along with her two loyal generals Gola and Badal, and with the help of Alauddin’s wife Mehrunisa, succeed in rescuing Ratan Singh. However, their escape leads to a tragic confrontation.

When the Rajputs are planning an ambush against Khilji’s army, the plan is discovered and a fierce battle begins. The Rajputs fight bravely but are outnumbered. During the confrontation, Alauddin and Ratan Singh engage in a duel. Ratan Singh was mortally wounded in a disgraceful attack by Alauddin’s close aide Kafur, highlighting the difference in values ​​between the Rajputs and Alauddin.
