EXCLUSIVE: ‘Karan Johar and Guneet Monga never interfered in the making of ‘KILL’, reveals director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt : Bollywood News

“Guneet and Karan have been involved from the beginning,” Nikhil said. “But at the same time, I had so much creative freedom that there was no interference at all. There was a lot of support. It’s very challenging to make a film. So there’s no reference point. The support and responsiveness of the producers was very good. They supported us in whatever we wanted.”

However, Nikhil did not want to be completely dependent on a stunt director or action director to shoot the film. “I had never made an action movie before,” he said. “So, I started meeting action directors. In India, action directors shoot movies. And if my movie is 70-80% action, I would let an action director shoot the entire film. I can’t do that. All I have to do is sit back and wait. I had to convince them that they would choreograph the action scenes and I would shoot the rest. That was a little difficult.”
Nikhil is happy that both Karan and Guneet have decided to take the services of international names for the action in this film. “The producers said let’s get the best talent we can from all over the world, and why limit it to India?Then we brought in Se-young Oh, a South Korean who has appeared in many films, as an action coordinator. Building the train set was another challenge for the manufacturer, as it needed to be very specific. “I knew he had to rotate the camera 360 degrees,” Nikhil said. “And the more action there is, the more people will keep falling down. The train set needs to be like once it collapses and then comes together again. That’s how it happens. transformers. We had to do research and development for 4-5 months on what this set would be. So we created miniature sets of 1ft, 6ft, and 12ft. I created the wall to collapse and rise within the same shot. The set itself was phenomenal. We were pushing the boundaries. All of this is possible if producers have foresight. ”
