deepshika nagpalThe famous actor of the 1990s and 2000s recently revealed that she missed the chance to meet Shah Rukh Khan due to her shy nature while shooting for the film Om Shanti Om.

In a chat with YouTuber Siddharth Kanan, Deepshika shared her experiences and also talked about her role in Shah Rukh Khan’s film ‘Baadshah’. Even though she received offers to play the lead role in films, Deepshika turned them down. Following Shah Rukh Khan’s recommendation, she was offered her supporting role in Badshah. She had previously played a negative role in Koyla and she was starting to feel that she was being typecast in films. However, she continued to receive good offers for television shows.
In ‘Baadshah’, Deepshika played the role of Rani, who works for a villain played by Amrish Puri. Her character was assigned the task of killing the lead detective played by Shah Rukh Khan. Reflecting on her own career, Deepshika said that she started getting roles similar to her character in Baadshah, but she decided not to take up the offers.
Recalling an incident during the making of ‘Om Shanti Om’, Deepshika said that she received a call from Shah Rukh Khan for a meeting. However, due to her lack of self-esteem and her inferiority complex, she could not muster up the courage to go. She was worried that she wouldn’t be let in or that Shah Rukh wouldn’t talk to her. Deepshika, she stressed, was unable to take chances due to her shyness.

Currently, Deepshikha Nagpal is actively participating in television shows. Her recent films include ‘Palkon Ki Chhaon Mein 2’ and ‘Na Umra Ki Seema Ho’.
