JK-based filmmaker shines on global stage with ‘Country of the Blind’

The Jammu and Kashmir-based filmmaker has received worldwide acclaim for his latest film masterpiece ‘Land of the Blind’.

According to news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO), director Rahat Kazmi, who hails from Surankot Poonch, has made critically acclaimed films such as ‘Rehaaf’, ‘Mantostan’ and ‘Identity Card’. After that, he returned with “Land of the Blind”.

The film, an adaptation of H.G. Wells’ The Land of the Blind, was shot entirely in Kashmir and also stars local artists such as Hina Khan, Mir Sarwar, Shoaib Shah, Anushka Sen, Inamal Haq and Pradman Singh. I’m appearing.

According to the makers, the film has been shot in both English and Hindi. It will be a gem of a movie that will touch the hearts of viewers across borders.

“The majestic Himalayas are the setting for this historical drama. The film was shot in Dudapatri, Sonamarg and Gulmarg. A portion of the film was also shot in Sanasar, Jammu,” Kazmi said.

The producers are hoping for a big response from this movie, and it has already been making waves on the international stage.

The film, released in the United States on October 6, received much praise from overseas filmmakers.

The film is slated to hit Indian theaters soon and is expected to captivate the audience with its gripping storyline and beautifully crafted story.

Rahat said that there are high expectations from the audience regarding this film.

Prior to that, Rahat Kazmi’s ‘The Last Coffee’ received great response from movie buffs.
