Heeramandi Teaser Out: The first look of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar’ has been unveiled. Ever since its announcement, the web series has been constantly grabbing headlines and the first look definitely lives up to the expectations. True to Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s signature style, the first look of Heramand, starring Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditi Rao Hydari, Richa Chadha, Sharmin Segal and Sanjida Sheikh, is grand, glamorous and drama-packed.

Undoubtedly, ‘Heeramandi’ stands out as a monumental performance for the web domain, showcasing a scale of grandeur that has never been seen before. The series explores the cultural intricacies of Heramand, an opulent neighborhood, unfolding the tales of courtesans and their patrons against the tumultuous backdrop of India’s freedom struggle in the 1940s. Following the first look on Instagram, Netflix India wrote, “Here’s your first look at legendary Indian creator Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s first series EVER: Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar!”

In an interview, Sanjay Leela Bhansali told Pinkvilla, “I do big films and that’s natural for me. But when I came to OTT, I did something bigger, it’s my biggest project yet. So I didn’t have to adapt to digital. Medium, it It’s like watching a movie.”

“So there’s no holding back or doing anything different for OTT. I’ve done 8 episodes for it and it’s so demanding, I’m constantly working on the script. In a recent statement, the makers described the show as “a mix of love, betrayal, legacy and politics in a kota (house of courtesans). In the tradition of the author, Heramand features unique compositions and music that resonate with the audience and leave a lasting impact, just like his storytelling.
