Netflix series crown Final season premiere date set

Olivier Award winners Imelda Staunton and Jonathan Pryce will reprise their roles as Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, respectively.

Netflix’s blockbuster series crown, about the current British monarchy, will return for its sixth and final season, airing in two parts. Part 1 will be released on November 16th, followed by Part 2 on December 14th. Imelda Staunton continues her reign as the late Queen Elizabeth II in her season finale.

The season covers events from 1997 to 2005, with part one of the four episodes focusing on Princess Diana’s relationship with Dodi Fayed and the tragic car accident that ended their lives. The final chapter, Part 2, consists of 6 episodes and depicts the Queen’s coronation anniversary celebrations, as well as the marriages of Prince Charles and Camilla, and Prince William and Duchess Kate.

In addition to Stanton (who won four Olivier Awards for his work on the British stage), the series’ continuing cast includes Olivier Award and Tony Award winner Jonathan Pryce as Prince Philip and Elizabeth Debicki as Princess Diana. , Prince Charles plays Dominic West, and Lesley Manville plays Princess Margaret. Salim Doh, who plays Mohamed Al-Fayed, and Khalid Abdallah, who plays Dodi Fayed, also return. Rufus Campa, who plays young Prince William, and Flynn Edwards, who plays young Prince Harry, make their first appearances.

In Part 2, Ed McVeigh and Luther Ford make their debuts as Prince William and Prince Harry, respectively, and are joined by Meg Bellamy, who plays Kate Middleton.
