‘Damnation’ to exit Netflix in November 2023 after being removed overseas

Set during the Great Depression, the series follows a stranger with a violent past who poses as a preacher and rallies farmers for a strike in a rural Iowa community.

NBCUniversal produced the show for USA Network and aired it from November 2017 to January 2018. Netflix acquired worldwide exclusive rights and served as co-producer on the title. Nevertheless, NBCUniversal owns the basic rights to the series. Netflix US subsequently licensed the show without the original branding.
Unfortunately, this series only aired for one season, but considering how good the first season was, I highly recommend watching it.
The cancellation came exactly one week after the season 1 finale aired, perhaps indicating that the numbers weren’t good enough for USA Network to justify a continuation. To make matters worse, Netflix may have had its own data suggesting it wouldn’t continue on its own either.
