A skeleton man Manoj Bajpayee Very curious to enter the world of Prime Video’s hit show Paatal Lok. At the OTT giant’s slate announcement event in Mumbai on Tuesday, where the next season of the show was announced, Manoj wished for a crossover between Paatal Lok and his The Family Man.
At the launch of Paatal Lok season 2, Manoj told Jade, “Jaydeep, there are similarities between (my) Srikanth and (your) Haati Ram. You are Maharathi (Ace of Warrior) Yours loc (world) and I am Maharathi My agency, but I lie a lot, and your character doesn’t lie, he’s very direct.” He then asked, “Do you think these two (characters) could be combined?”
He added, “Do you think Srikanth and Hathiram can team up together? I’m just trying to get an extra check (from Amazon) (laughs).
Jaydeep, who is known for his dry humour, replied to Manoj’s question, “I think if that happens, my check will be bigger. Aparna (Purohit, head of Originals at Amazon Prime Video) is just standing here, let’s ask her…” To which Aparna said, “It’s impossible to get any secrets out of me.”
Jaydeep said, “If it happens, it’s going to be big, it’s going to be killer!” Adding to Jaydeep’s reply, Manoj said, “If Srikanth and Hathiram are together then Kamaal Ho Jaega. I’ve been trying for years.”
Manoj looked towards Paatal Loki director Avinash Arun and said, “I am a very big fan of this director. I have been fighting for many years. It’s in my DNA. So I keep fighting, I keep fighting. I’m constantly asking for roles from directors I want to work with. I asked (him) for the role when we met at Prithvi (theatre). I asked for the role when we met somewhere in Andheri. I asked for a role even on the sidewalks of New York, in the middle of the road. But all he had to say was, “Dekhta hun sir, baat karta hun sir.” Give me a confirmed answer in some time!”
At a slate announcement event on Tuesday, Amazon Prime Video announced Raj and DK’s The Family Man Season 3 starring Manoj Bajpayee and Paatal Lok Season 2 as part of 70 new original shows 2024 – by 2025.
