Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra guest on Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 5. As expected, host-filmmaker Karan Johar asked them about their personal lives and also shared anecdotes from their time as an assistant director on the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer My Name Is Khana. Sidharth Malhotra and Varun Dhawan will appear on Koffee With Karan Season 8 Episode 5.

The Koffee With Karan (KWK) promo opens with Karan Johar introducing Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra as ‘nothing but Kens without their Barbies’, referring to their wives, fashion designer Natasha Dalal and actress Kiara Advani, respectively. Karan said: “They’re the perfect husbands in the world, but on my couch tonight, these guys are nothing but Kens without a barbie.”

Varun was then seen telling Karan, “Just make sure our relationship stays intact.” Varun also called out host Karan Garthode (Homewrecker), apparently hinting at the recent controversial episode with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.

Karan then recalled how Varun was taking “pictures with these girls” during the shooting of My Name Is Khan (2010) in Los Angeles, USA. To which Varun said, pointing at Siddharth, “He even took pictures.” Siddharth then said, “He (Varun) used to sell Shah Rukh Khan’s pictures to girls.”

Karan then said of someone who also worked on the film, “At the time, you both have a really, really awkward relationship with the costume department.”

Then the actors turned to Karan and told him that now they will ask him some questions. “Your three best friends from the industry?” Siddharth asked Karan. The filmmaker was blank and all three burst out laughing. The trio then discussed Varun’s ‘velvet butt’.

An early promo revealed more of KWK’s guests

Karan Johar released the new promo of Koffee With Karan Season 8 on Sunday. After four episodes of the celebrity chat show, a promo has hinted at the next batch of guests. The clip opened with Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor, Rani Mukerji and Ajay Devgn seen.

Karan was then heard asking Siddharth Malhotra “One thing Varun [Dhawan] Don’t you have that?” Siddharth said, “big a**”. Janhvi is then heard saying, “Wohi to center point hai tumhari film ki (This is the center point of your film). Varun is heard saying, “Ye dharma ka hero, hai bahut nazuk hai (This is the dharma hero, he is very fragile).

Vicky Kaushal and Kajol were also spotted on the Koffee couch. As Karan’s close friends and colleagues trolled him, the filmmaker was heard shouting, “Shut up, I can’t take it.” The video ended with Kareena Kapoor saying, “Slow applause, Mr. Johar.”
