Exclusive: “This story didn’t start with me… but I had to write the ending,” says Sushmita Sen in the newly released teaser trailer for season 3 of Disney+ Hotstar’s international Emmy-nominated drama. Arya.

A series of fast cuts follows, outlining the show’s mix of family drama, action, and thriller beats, and one particularly eye-catching shot shows a face covered in red powder or blood, stone-like. It shows Arya with a face walking towards the screen.

As the 30-second trailer draws to a close, Arya’s bloody body collapses to the ground, and she concludes by saying, “But I never thought it would end like this.”
