Actor Jeff Bell is in Margate this weekend filming an upcoming single release and music video for his band The Libertines.

Ms Bell, who lives in Deal, has appeared in a number of films including Girl with a Pearl Earring, Stardust, The Long Farm, Making Waves, The Business and Rock’n Rolla. Masu.

He starred as Sergeant Sam Perkins in the British Army in War Horse, and one of his most notable roles was the main role as Tommy Hatcher in the film Green Street.

In 2008, Bell starred in the British film Freebirds, co-starring Gary Stretch and Phil Daniels. In 2009 she appeared in the British film Tormented, and in 2010 she appeared in The Five Daughters as DC Roy Lambert. He also appeared in the drama series Top Boy.

More recently, he has appeared in the TV adaptation of Philip Pullman’s novel series His Dark Materials, a music video for Louis Tomlinson, and Whitstable Pearl, which was partly filmed in Thanet. In total, she has appeared in around 50 movies and numerous television shows.

Filming today (October 7) took place at the Albion Room in the Clifton Building and the Libertines Hotel and Bar in Margate.

The shoot includes scenes in a Bentley Turbo R hired from OhSoRetro’s Lee Collier.

More scenes are planned for tomorrow.

The Libertines’ co-frontman Carl Barat has revealed that he is currently filming the band’s latest single. He said: “[Jeff]is working on something for his next single ‘Run, Run, Run.’

“The album was recorded at the Albion Rooms and the videos are being shot in the city. It’s very exciting.”

Carl and bandmates Pete Doherty, John Hassall and Gary Powell have been part of the island community since purchasing the former Palm Court Hotel for £458,000 in 2017.

They renamed it “The Albion Rooms” and began about three years of renovations to create studios, hotel rooms, The Waste Land bar and restaurant in the five-story Victorian building.

In April, Karl and his partner Edie Langley of Cruel Hearts Club also opened Justin’s Nightclub on the site of Inferno in Marine Gardens, Margate.
