Sarah Ferguson wants to host a chat show in America.

The Duchess of York is believed to have met TV producer Amy Rosenblum at New York’s Regency Hotel last month to discuss the possibility of launching her own chat show in the US.

Rosenblum told the Mail on Sunday: “Sarah said to me, ‘I want a show! I want a show!'”

“I did a pilot with her about 15 years ago. We were up against Ellen DeGeneres, but in the end they sided with Ellen.

“But Sarah was really good when we did the pilot. We’ve been friends ever since.”

And TV insiders believe Sarah, who was previously married to King Charles’ younger brother Prince Andrew, could earn a hefty fee for hosting her own chat show.

A source from ABC Television, which is part of the giant Disney studio, said: “Fergie’s annual salary can be expected to be around £2 million (NZ$4 million), but if the show becomes a hit, that figure could rise significantly.” he said.

“She’s always done well in America. She’s never been proud of promoting anything, whether it’s her book or Weight Watchers.

“Americans respect people who hustle.

“Ellen has retired, so there is a gap in the market.

“How much money she makes as a chat show host is up to the network. Streaming services like Netflix no longer offer ridiculous amounts of money like they did with Harry and Meghan. A lot of people are getting burned. I lost it.

“But Americans still love royal titles and English accents, and Sarah has both. If she’s serious about doing a chat show, that will definitely open doors for her.” He will.”
