‘Venom 3’ resumes post-production strike – The Hollywood Reporter

Poison 3 Star Tom Hardy says the company has resumed production after the strike.

The actor, who portrays the lead character, took to social media on Friday to announce that the third and final installment of the series has returned to the sets following the 118-day actors’ strike that ended on November 8.

“Last dance – thankfully we’re back filming,” he wrote in an Instagram caption of a photo of himself with director Kelly Marcel and stunt double Jacob Tomori. “This journey has been and continues to be very enjoyable – there are always tough turns to burn when we work but it doesn’t feel difficult when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and support from all sides, for a great team.”

He took some time to express how grateful he is to all the teams involved, including cast, crew, friends and family, expressing what it was like for him to be surrounded by such talented and passionate departments at Poison Commercial franchise.

Hardy continued, “I want to very briefly mention how proud I am of my director, writing partner, and dear friend Kelly Marcel. Watching you take the helm of this film fills me with pride, it’s an absolute honor. Trust your gut, your instincts are always on point.”

The next installment in the franchise Production originally began in late June in Spain, where Marcel also served as writer, but halted production when the actors’ strike began in July. Newcomers include characters played by Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor.

Poison 3 It was originally scheduled to hit theaters on July 12, 2024, but was postponed to November 8, 2024, when the strike ended to give it more time to finish filming and complete post-production work.
