truly! Anil Kapoor reveals that he auditioned for the Hollywood movie Inception, taking advantage of the success of his Hindi films, “I Was On Time.”

Mumbai : Anil Kapoor is one of Bollywood’s best and literally ‘youthless’ actors. His style and personality are unparalleled even today. He recently celebrated four decades of working in the Hindi film industry. He made his Hindi language debut in the 1983 romantic drama film ‘Wo Saat Din’ directed by Sathiraju Lakshminarayana.

Anil reveals that he went to audition for Christopher Nolan’s Inception using the success of his Hindi film. The director agreed to meet the Mr. India actor in Los Angeles to discuss the role of Youssef in the Hollywood film. “I only had 10 minutes… Suddenly I saw an Indian taxi driver… I waved to the taxi driver and said in Hindi: ‘I am Anil Kapoor, Indian actor’. Please take me to this place,” Kapoor said.

“I left Brittany (assistant) there,” Anil added. I didn’t get the part, but I arrived on time. And I got the autograph…I wanted him (Nolan) to sign my Batman DVD.

Anil Kapoor was last seen in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna and Bobby Deol. He has previously been a part of films like Lajja, Nayak, No Entry, Welcome, Black & White, Race Race 2, Shootout at Wadala, Dil Dhadakne Do, Welcome Back, Race 3, Total Dhamaal, Jugjugg Jeeyo and many more.
