Six Hollywood movie stars falsely named in Jeffrey Epstein’s unsealed records

Newly released legal documents linked to pedophile Jeffrey Epstein bear the names of several movie stars, including Cate Blanchett, Leonardo DiCaprio and Cameron Diaz.

However, any personal involvement with the billionaire financier, who socialized with royalty and celebrities, has been denied by the three actors. Their names are mentioned only once in the extensive documents released so far, which span hundreds of pages, during a segment in which a witness denies ever meeting the stars.

While the disclosure of the first batch of court filings, made public after a judge’s order in December, includes the names of victims and friends and associates of Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, many on the list have no direct link to the sex offenders.

For example, Blanchett and DiCaprio’s names were mentioned in a witness statement citing a false newspaper report claiming that the witness had met them. Other Hollywood stars who will be mentioned in this section include Kevin Spacey, Bruce Willis, and Star Wars director George Lucas.

The names of the individuals do not indicate any wrongdoing or any involvement in Epstein’s crimes. Neither Blanchett, DiCaprio, Diaz, Spacey, Willis, or Lucas were charged with any crime or involved in Epstein’s abuse.

As stated in the documents, one of the lawyers asked Joanna Sjoberg, Epstein’s accuser: “I saw a newspaper report that said you met Cate Blanchett or Leonardo DiCaprio?”

“I haven’t met them, no,” Sjoberg replied. When I talked about them, it was when I was giving him (Epstein) a massage, and he was coming down – he was on the phone a lot at that time, and one time he said, “Oh, that was Leonardo,” or, “That was Cate Blanchett, or Bruce Willis.” ” That kind of thing.

When attorney Sjoberg asked if Epstein was “name-dropping,” she replied, “Yes,” and confirmed that she had “never” met Blanchett, DiCaprio, Diaz, or the other actors mentioned.

Diaz’s representative said The Independent I reached out to everyone for comment, with a representative saying: “Cameron never met Jeffrey Epstein, was never in the same place as him or had any association with him whatsoever, regardless of the fact that he may or may not have mentioned her name.” “It means he knows her.”

Representatives for DiCaprio and Blanchett also denied any involvement with the pedophile.

Epstein was a billionaire known for his relationships with celebrities, politicians, billionaires, and academic luminaries. He was initially arrested in Palm Beach, Florida in 2005 after being accused of paying a 14-year-old girl for sex.

Dozens of underage girls described similar abuse, but prosecutors allowed the financier to plead guilty in 2008 to a charge involving one victim. He spent 13 months in the prison’s work release program. He died by suicide in a Manhattan jail cell in 2019 while awaiting new sex trafficking charges.
