Omar Sy’s film at Berlinale 2024 has been added to the list of Berlinale special screenings – The Hollywood Reporter

The 2024 Berlin Film Festival has added Brandt Andersen’s refugee drama The issue of strangersWhich includes French star Omar Sy (Lupine) to the official team lineup. The drama revolves around a tragedy that struck a Syrian family in Aleppo, setting off a chain reaction of events affecting five different families in four countries, and will be shown in the Berlinale’s special sidebar at this year’s festival, which runs from February 15 to 25. Jason Peggy and Yasmine Al-Masry participate in the film’s cast.

On Thursday, Berlin also added two Japanese medium-length films to the list of Berlinale special screenings: Ringing By Kiyoshi Kurosawa (Tokyo Sonata) And August is my paradise By Ryu Kudo (Orphan Blues).
