Beyoncé’s concert film tops the Hollywood box office
Beyoncé’s new movie “Renaissance” topped the North American box office on its opening weekend, bringing in an estimated $21 million, industry watchdog Expert Relations said Sunday.
This result came in a very slow period usually after the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States.
said analyst David A. Gross: “This is an excellent domestic opening for a musical,” buoyed by “raising critics reviews and audience scores.”
The virtuoso effort written, directed and produced by the superstar singer, “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” now ranks among the five best movie openings of all time, besting the massive $92.8 million opening earlier this year for Taylor Swift’s film, Gross said. The film “The Tour of Ages”.
