Wild Karnataka Movie|Documentary film 2020

Wild Karnataka travels through the diverse terrains of this state – from mountains to deserts and jungles to oceans following the lives of some of the world`s favorite animals as their fortunes change across the seasons whilst they wait for the return of nature`s most powerful seasonal force – the monsoon.

In the south of India, there is an incredible wilderness. Despite being just 5% of India`s landmass, the state of Karnataka is home to one-quarter of India`s species.

Wild Karnataka documentary recorded behaviors that had never been filmed, and many that had rarely been seen. From otters chasing tigers to an Indian leopard hunt and dancing frogs to drone footage of elephants and tigers – Wild Karnataka provides an exceptional insight into the country`s natural history

Wild Karnataka takes 4 years and 400 hours of footage in the making. Wild Karnataka is India’s own 4K blue-chip natural history film made by a world-class team of Indian filmmakers and narrated by Sir David Attenborough.

Wild Karnataka Official Teaser 4K – Coming to PVR 17 Jan 2020 – Indian wildlife documentary

An unprecedented UHD film on Karnataka’s rich Biodiversity narrated by David Attenborough. He has worked in a number of natural history films and has also narrated BBC’s Planet Earth, a series spanning 11 episodes each of which focused on a different habitat on earth.  Portraying the state with the highest number of Tigers and Elephants using the latest technology – a masterpiece showcasing the state, its flora, fauna. It was initially screened for a private audience in Bengaluru in March 2019 and will now be screened in 19 different cities through PVR cinemas.

The 53 minute-long documentary will release on January 17 across PVR theatres in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Pune, Nagpur, Chandigarh, Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Indore, Raipur, Nashik, Surat, Gurugram, Lucknow and Ludhiana.

Each chapter is named after an iconic species (Bengal tiger, Asian elephant, Asian lion) of India’s remaining wildlife. However, each also draws a more general picture of a type of biotope in another corner of the Indian subcontinent (jungle, Himalayas, desert). Interaction involves fauna, flora and human population.

The film has footage of dancing frogs, drone footage of elephants and footage taken underwater as well. The filming was done across many places in Karnataka including Koppal, Hampi, Siruguppa, Bhadra Tiger Reserve, Cauvery Wildlife Sanctuary, BRT, Nagarahole, Agumbe, Bhimgad, and Daroji. 

Wild Karnataka displays the varied habitats and species across Karnataka. The film is story-driven. Subjects include tigers and elephants, along with lesser-known species like the Lion-tailed Macaque, Hornbills, amphibians, and reptiles. Wild Karnataka was the first film in India to be narrated by Sir David Attenborough. The music for the film was composed by Grammy award-winning music composer and producer Ricky Kej.

Shot by a team of 20 camera persons using drones and 15 stationed cameras across Karnataka, over a period of four years, the film shows the true wild side of the state, which is normally only associated with IT, medicine and politics.

From the hilly terrains to dense forests to beautiful aquatic habitats, this 4K ultra-high definition, the blue-chip film tries to capture the alluring wildlife of Karnataka to bring out the rich scenic natural heritage of India. From gliding lizards of Western Ghats to ferocious tigers to rare otters to majestic elephants, the movie promises records of never-before-seen wildlife behaviors

Wild Karnataka (2020), most awaited drama movie releasing in the English language

Wild Karnataka Documentary is the first wildlife film in which has an equal representation of women. As opposed to the traditional instances where women work in the production side of a film and as much on the field bringing in a different perspective.

Wild Karnataka (2020) Documentary film

Wild Karnataka is a 2019 Indian ultra-HD natural history documentary on the Indian state of Karnataka’s rich biodiversity, most of which is still unknown to the general public. The film was produced by award-winning film-makers Amoghavarsha J S and Kalyan Varma in collaboration with Icon Films and Mudskipper. The film was narrated by Sir David Attenborough with theme music composed by Grammy-winning composer and music-producer, Ricky Kej.
