When three Bollywood movies titled Ziddi became superhits at the box office.

There are many movies in Bollywood with the same title. Today, we will be introducing three Bollywood movies made under the title ‘Ziddi’. Notably, all three of his films were huge hits at the box office. When you hear the name of the movie Ziddi, the first person that comes to mind is actor Sunny Dul. This is because he starred in his 1997 released film titled Ziddi. You will be surprised to know that before Sunny Deol, Dev Anand, Joy Mukherjee created havoc at the box office with their films of the same name.

1. Jiddy (1948): This Bollywood movie was directed by Shahid Latif. This work is based on a story written by Ismat Chuktai. This film helped establish actors Dev Anand, Kamini Kaushal and Pran in Hindi films. Nawab, Kuldeep Kaur and Chandabai also appeared in supporting roles. According to reports, the film became his fifth highest-grossing film among his 1948 films. The film’s music has been composed by Khemchand Prakash. Playback singers Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar recorded their first duet song ‘Yeh Kaun Aaya Re’ together on Ziddi.

2. Jiddy (1964): The second film, Ziddi, was made in 1964 and became the fourth highest-grossing film of that year. The film saw the pair of Joy Mukherjee and Asha Parekh on the big screen. The film was directed by Pramod Chakraborty and had music by SD Burman, whose songs were composed by Hasrat Jaipuri, who gave hit songs like ‘Raat Ka Samaa’.

3. Jiddy (1997): In 1997, the third film named Ziddi was made. Once again the film was a success at the box office. Directed by Guddu Dhanoa, the film also stars Sunny Deol, Raveena Tandon, Raj Babbar and Ashish Vidyarthi. The film, which tells the story of an angry and stubborn deva, was well received by the audience and became the sixth highest-grossing film of 1997 with a gross of 32.43 million rupees. The film was later remade in Tamil as Dharma starring Vijayakanth.
