Tiger 3 box office collection day 13 initial report: Salman Khan-Katrina Kaif struggle to meet Rs 200 crore target | Bollywood News
‘Tiger 3’ box office performance: It seems difficult for the Salman Khan film to earn as much as the previous film in the series, ‘Tiger Zinda Hai’, given its underwhelming performance at the box office.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s spy thriller ‘Tiger 3’ has suffered a major flop at the box office. It was expected to collect on par with Shah Rukh Khan’s “Pattern” and “Jawan,” but both films earned less than half of his lifetime earnings. On Friday, the second week of its release, the film’s box office revenue fell to around Rs 2.27 billion from Thursday’s Rs 5.12 billion.
According to early estimates by industry tracker Saknilk (posted at 7pm), Tiger 3’s morning and afternoon shows had a Hindi share of 7.85% and 10.14%, respectively. The total domestic collection of the film after 13 days stands at Rs 257.14 crore. With such an underwhelming performance at the box office, it looks like director Maneesh Sharma will have a hard time earning as much as his previous film in the series, Tiger Zinda Hai. It earned Rs 339.16 million when it was released in 2017.

Tiger 3 was released on Diwali day and earned Rs 4,450 crore. However, the film was unable to sustain the festive buzz and its collections started declining after Bhai Dooj. Now, in just one week, the movie will end its theatrical run with decent box office results.
On December 1, Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Sam Bahadur’ and Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Animal’ will hit the screens and give tough competition to Tiger 3. Both the movies have created a huge buzz among the audience. According to Saknilk, ‘Animal’ is expected to earn Rs 500 crore on its opening day, which is more than what Tiger 3 earned on its opening day.
Tiger 3 is producer Aditya Chopra’s latest entry into the world of espionage. It all started with Ekta Tiger in 2012 and his 2017 Tiger Zinda Hai, then his 2019 War with Hrithikroshan and Tiger Shroff, and the recent film with Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. It has been expanded to ‘Pasaan’.
