Rani Mukerji says her father underwent heart surgery during release from Raja Ki Aayegi Bharat | Bollywood
Actor Rani Mukherjee recalled how her father Ram Mukherjee underwent heart surgery when her debut Bollywood film, “Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat” was released in 1996. In an interview with news agency ANI, Rani said he went to the theater to watch the movie and afterwards he cried “like a happy child”. Rani also revealed that if he had not become an actor, he would have wanted to be an interior designer. Rani Mukerji wanted to be an interior designer.
Rani told ANI: “Looking back today, I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t become an actor. I certainly wanted to pursue other professions, such as interior design, but for the past 27 years, I I don’t think I could have gotten so much love from people around the world who are fans of my work. They obviously admire my work and have given me so much strength and courage through this work. I have naturally built a family beyond my own, and I think that is very valuable to me.”

Rani also said, “On October 18, 1996, when Raja Ki Aayegi Bharat was released, my family and I were going through a lot at that time. I also remembered the fact that he had undergone heart surgery, and I said, “I remember him going to the theater to see my first movie in “Gaiety Galaxy”! On the way back, he was discharged from the hospital. I did! I remember him crying with joy like a child when he saw the love I received from the audience, clapping and whistling for my lines. ”

Rani was last seen in Ashima Chhibber’s ‘Mrs Chatterjee vs Norway’. The film tells the story of the life of an immigrant mother who fights against all odds to regain custody of her child. Neena Gupta, Jim Sarbh and Anirban Bhattacharya played important roles in the film.
