Kareena Kapoor Khan-starrer ‘Buckingham Murders’ will open the Jio Mami Mumbai Film Festival on October 27, organizers announced on Tuesday.

Directed by Hansal Mehta, this moody procedural thriller is about an exploration of grief and a longing for closure, capturing the human toll of polarized times. The story follows Jasmeet Bumrah (Kareena), a police officer and single mother who recently lost her child in a shooting incident, who is transferred to a market town in north London and assigned to handle missing child cases. draw.

Kareena said she is honored that her first film, which she co-produced along with Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, will open the festival.
