‘It’s not just a Bollywood movie,’ says Adivi Sesh as he shares the first look of his next film with Shruti Haasan

Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan are teaming up for a first-of-its-kind action-drama film and as exclusively reported earlier, the film will be directed by US-based director Shaneel Deo. It will be an Indian movie.

Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) handle, Adivi Sesh emphasized that the film will not be a straight Bollywood or Telugu film, but an all-India film. he said: #Sesh EX Shruti. It’s not just a Bollywood movie. It’s not just a TFI movie. This is an all-India movie. The title will be announced on December 18th.

Tentatively titled ‘SeshEXShruti’, it will be the second pan-Indian film starring the Gudachari actor, who gave a great performance and received critical acclaim for his role as the late Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan in the film ‘Major’.

‘SeshEXShruti’ is directed by debutant director Shanil Deo, who has worked with Adivi Sesh as cinematographer in the films ‘Kshanam’ and ‘Goodachari’. The film is bankrolled by Supriya Yarlagadda and will be released under the banner of Annapurna Studios.

Adivi Sesh’s workplace

Adivi Sesh is a popular Telugu actor who has not only worked in acting but also worked as a screenwriter and director several times. The major actor’s last directorial effort was in 2013, when he starred in the romantic comedy Kiss.

His last writing endeavor was Major, a 2022 biographical action drama based on the life of Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan. Directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the film was co-produced by Mahesh Babu. The film, which was shot simultaneously in Telugu and Hindi, was later translated into Malayalam. The film received great response and was a huge success in theaters.

The actor, who was last seen in the movie ‘HIT: The Second Case’, is currently filming ‘Goodachari 2’, the sequel to the 2018 spy action thriller film. Both the films have been written by Adivi Sesh himself and the sequel is set to be the most expensive film of the actor’s career.

Shruti Haasan’s Workfront

Shruti Haasan was last seen this year playing lead roles in two Telugu films – Nandamuri Balakrishna starrer Veera Sinha Reddy and Chiranjeevi starrer Walter Veeraya.

Shruti Haasan also appeared in a special cameo in the film ‘Hi Nanna’ starring Nani and Mrunal Thakur. The film focuses on the romantic story of a single father who cannot confide in his daughter about her mother. The actress recently achieved great success with her new music video, which garnered a lot of attention as well.

Additionally, Shruti Haasan is playing the lead role in Prabhas Prithviraj Sukumaran starrer ‘Salar: Part 1 – Ceasefire’ directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. The first single from the film was released yesterday, showcasing an emotional track about friendship and brotherhood.
