‘I was confident’: Nayantara reveals why she chose Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan for her Bollywood debut

Nayantara’s spectacular debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan was loved by fans and critics alike. The actress also won praise for her portrayal of a senior police officer in her film. In a conversation with Hello Magazine, Nayantara was asked why she chose to star Shah Rukh Khan in her debut film in Bollywood. To this, the actress said, “I was looking for a film like Jawan, which is a commercial venture with big stars. At the same time, I was also keen on meaty roles that would kick some ass.”

Nayantara added that Shah Rukh Khan was the main reason for her to play the jawan, saying, “Who isn’t a fan of his?” We all grew up watching his movies and we all love them.
