Sunny may not be associated with ‘Border 2’, but he has teamed up with director Rajkumar Santoshi for ‘Lahore 1947’. Sunny and Rajkumar have previously collaborated in films like ‘Ghayal’ and ‘Damini’. The film is produced by Aamir Khan.
Discussing the project, Sunny said, “With the success of Gadar 2, this film too is coming true. Gadar has opened a lot of doors for all of us. Raj is very talented and has a lot of great subjects. He and I have done three films together. People are watching these, but they’re all different genres, and they’re all masterpieces.”
Gadar 2 was released on August 11, 2023. It grossed over Rs 691.08 crore worldwide against a production budget of Rs 600 crore, making it his fifth highest-grossing film of 2023.
