Ratna Pathak Shah, a veteran actor with a career spanning 50 years, recently gave an interview where she discussed Bollywood in the 80s and 90s. According to Shah, during that time, there were no “real writers” in the industry. She criticized the lack of imagination among screenwriters and mentioned that many famous films were frame-by-frame copies of other movies. Shah also highlighted how the industry was satisfied with these types of films for a long time. However, with the advent of the online world, people have gained access to content from other industries, which has changed the audience’s perspective.

In another interview, Shah discussed Taapsee Pannu’s fight for promoting the film “Dak Dak,” in which she is one of the producers. Shah mentioned that it is challenging to promote offbeat films or those without star power. She agreed with Pannu’s statement that the film needed more time and support, and emphasized the importance of spreading awareness about such movies being made and released.

“Dak Dak” features Ratna Pathak Shah, Dia Mirza, Fatima Sana Sheikh, and Sanjana Sanghi, and is set to release on October 13th.
