Veteran Bollywood actress Asha Parekh has responded to Kangana Ranaut’s recent comments about the lack of true friendships in the Hindi film industry. Parekh, who was present during the same interaction where Ranaut made the remarks, disagreed with her stance.
During a News18 India event, the host asked Parekh about Ranaut’s statement regarding artificial friendships in Bollywood. Parekh strongly disagreed with Ranaut’s views and pointed out her own close and enduring friendships with legends Waheeda Rehman and Helen. She emphasized the strength of their bond and questioned Ranaut on why she believes true friendships don’t exist anymore.
Parekh further highlighted that forming friendships is a personal choice and individuals have the freedom to decide whether they want to make connections with others or not. She stated that it’s everyone’s personal choice to be friends with someone or not.
Ranaut is known for her outspoken opinions and is currently awaiting the release of her upcoming film ‘Tejas,’ where she portrays the role of an Air Force pilot.
